Arizona Reading Association Conference was a success!

Here is a photo of Lori Rome, Salt and Soap and me at the author/illustrator reception this past Friday evening at the Arizona Reading Association Conference in Flagstaff. As you can see, the pups had a blast and so did we. It was a great event and there were some excellent speakers including Sig Boloz on Friday and Adam Rex on Saturday to name just a couple. Our presentation on Saturday went really well and our book was very popular. Very exciting!

I also got the chance the spend some time chatting with James Owen, author and illustrator of the incredible Chronicles of the Imaginarium Geographica series. What a wonderfully talented and inspiring artist but most of a all really nice guy. Here is a photo of him with me. Oh, I’m so tickled having met him.

James will be at the Changing Hands bookstore coming up on October 27th, at 7:00 pm. It will be the launch party for his latest release “The Shadow Dragons”. I’ll definitely be there.

See you there.
